Dan Brounoff - Meteorologist
WEATHER
Dan Brounoff joined TSN in 2010. His interest in weather all started when Dan was 6 years old, as a tornado ripped within a couple of miles from his neighborhood in Dallas, Texas. "I remember it like it was yesterday seeing a nearby church laid to rubble. Houses blown off their foundations; trees uprooted. Shortly after that tragic event my second grade teacher told our class of her near death experience as a tornado lifted her automobile and tossed it over 100 yards..with her in it. That was it, I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up.
Meteorologist Dan Brounoff is a graduate of Texas A & M's School of Meteorology. He is a experienced storm chaser in the plains and hurricane chaser along the Gulf Coast. Dan's Career started in Waco Texas during his junior and senior years at A&M. Shortly after he then met up with Mr. Huffines at WeatherPlus, a weather network in Europe where he was lead forecaster. Dan's next venture was with The Weather Channel Radio network where he broadcast for over 100 radio stations across the nation, including coverage of an F-4 tornado in Washington, D.C. as well hurricane coverage from Houston to Mobile. After forecasting in the Carolinas and in South Texas, where flash flooding and hurricanes are a major threat as well, Dan brings his expertise to Storm Force 31.
When Dan is not forecasting or covering severe weather, he enjoys spending time with his family, volunteer work, golf, fishing, camping and most all, STORM CHASING!
