Rick Wais: News Anchor

Rick Wais was interested in broadcasting at an early age and by the time he headed to the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, he was ready to major in journalism. He started working for the university radio station and landed his first commercial job in radio in that community, picking up a regional RTNDA Spot News award. After a stint at KWKH in Shreveport, it was time to move to Texas and a Fort Worth all-news station. By 1982 he was TSN's morning anchor and received recognition including a nomination for Dallas Journalist Of The Year. He moved to the USA Radio Network in 1992, but returned to TSN in 1994 to resume his role as the morning news anchor.
