Chris Schneider: Sports Director
Chris Schneider is a key member of the "Texas State Networks" and also can be heard as a member of the "KRLD Morning News". His 25-year career has taken him around the globe working on the air in London, Los Angeles, Chicago, Cincinnati and Dallas with organizations like ESPN, The BBC, CBS, Prime Sports and Sporting News Radio. Chris has hosted nationally syndicated talked shows and his sportscasts have been heard around the world on Armed Forces Radio. He's hosted pre and post game shows for the Texas Rangers, Los Angeles Rams, The Angels in Anaheim and UCLA.
Chris is the author of a book called “Starting Your Career in Broadcasting, Working on and off the air in Radio and Television" (Allworth Press) that features friends and colleagues such as Bob Costas, Chris Berman, Jim Lampley, Troy Aikman and many other stars talking about how they got into broadcasting, sharing some of the craziest things that have happened to them on the air, and giving their advice for those interested in a career of their own on the air. Chris has been honored with multiple Dallas Press Club Katie Awards, Texas Associated Press Broadcasters Awards and State Networks Association awards for Best Sportscasts, Sports Features and Sports Programming and National Sportscast of the Year.
Chris and wife Michelle live in Hurst, Texas and enjoy watching sports, reading, writing and, of course, eating.
